Watercolor medium

The "Les Arts" watercolor medium is a handcrafted grinding medium made from gum arabic, honey, and glycerin.

This binder allows for the preparation of watercolor paint that is ideally suited to the traditional technique of transparency. Once the watercolor pigment has been ground, it can be piped into tubes or left to dry and stored in small pots (or other containers, such as seashells). When properly prepared, this watercolor can be applied using wash, glazing, and techniques involving a sponge, brush, cloth, stamp, blotting paper, or a blade.

Directions for use:

Application:

Shake well before use. Mix with properly prepared pigments (ground in an aqueous solution). The prepared watercolor can be stored in a tube or left to dry in a small container (such as a seashell or other container). Clean equipment with water.

Precautions for use:

Do not expose to freezing temperatures; store in a frost-free place. Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C or above 40°C.

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not pour down the drain.

If the product comes into contact with your eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
